Interactive Production Artist/Website Support Specialist - Kansas City, Missouri

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a non-profit Christian sports ministry with over 800 staff around the country and ministry initatives around the world.

Reaching over 2 million people last year, the vision of FCA is: "To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches."

Our Online Ministry team is expanding and is looking to fill an entry level, full-time position for Interactive Production Artist / Website Support Specialist. While this position will focus on two roles, an ideal candidate should be flexible and a "jack of all trades" when it comes to the web.

Duties include:
- Create custom graphics for any of our over 160 websites including FCA.org, SharingtheVictory.com.

- Update existing website content, graphics and Flash.

- Create small custom website features using HTML/CSS on a website by website basis.

- Assist the Manager of Online Ministry as well as our Designer/Developer in the creation, execution and delivery of online projects.

- Support 150 FCA websites and their staff across the country in the use of an online Content Management System (webFCA). This could include troubleshooting, and how-to's via phone, email and instant message.

A potential candidate should be proficient in:
Photoshop
Illustrator
Dreamweaver
HTML
Basic CSS

Experience in the following areas is a tremendous benefit:
Layout-driven CSS
Flash
PHP

Service is an important part of this position as we serve over 150 websites and FCA staff and volunteers who maintain the sites. Patience, desire and the ability to help "non-technical" users is a must.

Lastly, a candidate for this position should be a team player, desire to grow as a designer, be able to manage multiple projects, meet or beat deadlines, perform well under pressure and "fill in the gaps" when needed.

Area Representative - Prince George's County, Maryland

FCA is announcing an opening for an Area Representative serving Prince George's County. This county has 22 public high schools (many private schools) and 33 public middle schools. The public school is currently 75% African American, 15% Caucasian and 10% other races. This school system is the 2nd largest county in the state and 18th largest in the nation. The qualified individual will step into a situation where an established leadership board is not yet in place. The area has 14 active school huddles. This is a great opportunity for personal and ministry growth. Qualified candidates will have prior experience working in an urban environment. This position could evolve into an area director position within 12-24 months. Join a ministry team that's one of the fastest growing in the country.

The position entails growing the influence of the FCA ministry in the Prince George's County area thru prayer, equipping campuses with effective leaders, and expanding camp enrollment. The area representative is responsible for evangelizing, training, equipping and encouraging the coaches and student-athlete leaders at the given campuses. The employee will model the values of FCA: integrity, serving, teamwork, and excellence.

The focus of this position is to encourage, equip and empower coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high, and youth levels to use the powerful medium of sports to impact the world for Jesus Christ. The area representative develops the 4C's of FCA Ministry (Coaches, Campus, Camps & Community) to ensure the growth and longevity of the local ministry.

Area Representative - Montgomery County, Maryland

FCA is announcing an opening for an Area Representative serving Montgomery County, MD. The qualified individual will step into a situation where an established leadership board is active having raised some support to fund this position immediately. This county has 25 public high schools (many private schools) and 38 public middle schools. The public school system has over 160 countries represented in it. This school system is the largest county in the state and 16th largest in the nation. The area has 26 active school huddles. This is a great opportunity for personal and ministry growth. Qualified candidates will have prior experience working in a multicultural environment. This position could evolve into an area director position within 12-24 months. Area Representative - Northwest Iowa

The Central/Western Iowa FCA is looking to fill an Area Representative position for Northwest Iowa. The position is based in Sioux City, Iowa. This is a 19 county area with over 30 active huddles. The area has seen much growth in the past 18 months resulting in the establishment of a local Area Leadership Board, a new Coaches Huddle and several new huddles.

This is a full-time position that we hope to fill by September 1, 2008, if possible. There is a local golf tournament that is several years old and a new, Home Team event in place along with a solid group of donors, but personal support-raising will be required to be fully funded.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a solid walk with Christ and a clear calling by God to the FCA ministry. Current or past involvement as a coach or athlete and FCA is preferred. Excellent people skills will be necessary for the person chosen for this position as much of the work of FCA is in relationship building.

Excellent leadership skills and a good work ethic will be necessary to sustain the strong community network that currently exists. While FCA has had a strong presence in this part of the state for quite some time, there still remains the opportunity for much growth.

Duties will include building relationships with coaches, student leaders and donors to create an environment excited about FCA programs, leading the existing Area Leadership Board and expanding the existing donor base via existing events and personal contacts.

Area Director - Metro Atlanta, Georgia


The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is seeking to fill an Area Director position in Metro Atlanta. The two county area, Forsyth & Dawson county, includes 16 middle & high school campuses. The area has an established local board and an area representative already. Forsyth County is located approximately 30 miles north of Atlanta and is in the top 5 fastest growing counties in the nation.

The Area Director will work to continue the growth in the Forsyth/Dawson area by helping to develop the 4 C’s of FCA ministry. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, equipping & encouraging Area Representatives. The Area Director will work closely with the leadership board to ensure the financial resources are in place to support the ministry. The person filing this position will spend time daily in prayer and the Word and regularly model the values of FCA: integrity, serving, teamwork, and excellence. We would like to fill this position by August 1, 2008.

Staff Opening for Area Representative - Southwest Wisconsin

The Wisconsin FCA is seeking to fill an Area Representative position in Southwest WI, based in Madison. This is a 13 county area that currently has 20 plus active huddles. This area has been staffed 12 of the past 13 years resulting in an established board and some funding in place. This is a full time position that we hope to fill by September 1, 2008.

Field Associate(s) - New York City


Here is an opportunity for retired or part-time coaches who have 10 hours a week and would like to earn $500/month. FCA has the perfect position for retired coaches to stay involved with other coaches and serve the Kingdom as a mentor to younger coaches as well as serve as a role model for athletes.

The position is Field Associate and the area is metropolitan New York City. The candidate filling this position will establish the FCA Ministry in one to two boroughs. Qualified individuals must have a clear calling by God and have current or past involvement in sports as a coach or athlete.

Additional responsibilities are to grow the influence of FCA in your area through prayer, starting FCA huddles in schools and establishing Coaches’ Bible Studies. Funding is in place for the first year but your area should be self-sufficient by year two. Pay and hours will be directly related to your ability to raise necessary funding. (Female) Campus Ministry Representative - Tucson, Arizona

Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Arizona is seeking female applicants for the position of Campus Ministry Representative.  With women making up half of the athletic population FCA seeks male and female campus representatives to fulfill this vital role on Tucson campuses.  Candidates must have a solid walk with Christ and can discern a clear calling by God to the ministry of FCA.  Experience as student leader, volunteer or board member will be given preference.

The Campus Ministry Representatives will work with coaches and athletes on school campuses in the greater Tucson area. Duties will include building relationships with coaches and student leaders as well as cultivating volunteers in the community to assist with events. The successful candidate will have a passion for campus ministires, youth and coaches. The funds for this position are in place and will require only minimal ongoing donor development.

Area Representative - Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri

FCA is announcing a full-time staff position to serve as an Area Representative in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. This beautiful area of Missouri is centrally located and experiencing rapid growth. The office will cover 8 counties and will be located in either Camdenton or Osage Beach. This position will be responsible for growing all four C’s (Camps, Campus, Coaches, Community) of the FCA ministry. Currently, there are established FCA campus huddles in the area as well as three successful Power Camps.

The successful applicant will have a solid walk with Christ and demonstrate a clear calling by God to the ministry of FCA. Current or past involvement with athletics and FCA as well as good people skills will be necessary for the person chosen for the position.

Duties will include building relationships with coaches, student leaders, and donors to create an environment excited about FCA programs. A candidate with strong stewardship skills will work alongside a newly formed Leadership Board to raise funds and plan events to sustain this position as well as creating a vision to expand the ministry.

Area Director - Northern Kentucky

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is announcing a full-time staff opportunity to serve Christ as an Area Representative in Northern Kentucky. This beautiful area of Kentucky is the fastest growing area in all of Kentucky with the FCA office located in Lakeside Park.  There are 10 counties with 61 schools in the area and FCA is active in 25.

The successful applicant will have a solid walk with Christ and demonstrate a clear calling by God to the FCA ministry.  Current or past involvement with athletics (preferably in FCA) and good people skills will be necessary for the person chosen for this position.

Excellent leadership skills combined with a good work ethic will be necessary to sustain the strong community network that exists in Northern Kentucky and while the area has a strong FCA history - there remains an opportunity for growth.

Area Representative - Eastern Iowa

FCA is announcing an opening for a new staff member to serve in Eastern Iowa. The qualified individual will step into a dynamic area that has a well-established leadership board and growing donor base as well as 20-plus active school huddles. This office presently serves 27 counties, but the primary job responsibility would be in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City area.

The staff person will enjoy ministry responsibilities of building relationships with coaches, student leaders and area donors; planning and implementing ministry program to athletes and coaches; working with volunteers, as well as stewardship responsibilities of raising funds for the ministry.

This will be a full-time salaried position requiring a solid walk with Christ; good people and leadership skills; be a self-starter and possess a good work ethic; and also have the ability to successfully network within the community.

The candidate filling this position will report to the Area Director for Eastern Iowa FCA. They will work as a team to serve huddles, equip existing huddle leaders and start new huddles. Other responsibilities will include helping to organize an established annual Power Camp, Fields of Faith event, FCA Huddle Rally and Sports Camp. Area Representative - Far Western Kentucky

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is announcing a full-time staff opportunity to serve Christ as an Area Representative in our Western Kentucky Office, located in Paducah. This beautiful area of Kentucky is a rural community which features Lake Barkley and Murray State University. Along with the cities of Paducah and Hopkinsville, this office serves a 12 county area and presently has activity on 30 school campuses.

The successful applicant will demonstate a clear calling by God to the FCA ministry, as well as current or past involvement with athletics and FCA. All candidates must possess a solid walk with Christ; have good people and leadership skills; be a self-starter and possess a good work ethic; and also possess the ability to successfully network within the community.

This postion is responsible for developing all aspects of FCA ministry in the assigned geographic service area. And while this area does have a good history of FCA ministry, it still has tremendous potential for growth. The staff person will enjoy ministry responsibilities of building relationships with coaches, student leaders, and area donors; planning and implementing ministry program to coaches and athletes; developing and working with a Leadership Board of volunteers; as well as stewardship responsibilities of raising funds for the ministry.
