On a Scripture that has helped her with basketball...
"Romans 15:5-6 – 'May God, who gives endurance and encouragement, give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Jesus Christ, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.'

"I chose this one because it relates to a team. I feel that if as a group we lived by this verse we would be good to go. It helps motivate me to help try and get the team to come together as a whole through our Lord."

On setting an example on the court...
"I try to set an example of doing the right thing, from working my hardest to help my team succeed, to helping an opponent up off the floor when they are knocked down. It helps me realize that it's not the basketball things that are important, but rather it’s playing with the talents and abilities the Lord has blessed us with. By using these abilities, it's kind of a way of doing something in return by doing the right thing on the court. To me it's what makes the game more fun."

On children looking up to athletes...
"It is important to realize, as a Division I athlete, people are always watching. So, if people are going to observe something about you, why not let it be about what's most important in your life and show that God is No. 1 in our lives? I also feel that God being the most important thing in our lives helps set a good example for the young children that look up to college athletes. Hopefully, this will be a good impact on their lives to help make correct decisions in life."
