FCA Korea Ski Camp: First Steps into Winter Sports

FCA Korea hosted its first ski camp for two nights and three days during the last week of January to impact coaches and athletes in the winter sports world. It was a huge success! Sixteen ski campers were trained physically, emotionally, and most importantly spiritually, under FCA’s new ministry theme of 100% from Mark 12:30.

The campers experienced four ski-training sessions with one special training session led by coach Kim, a former Korean national representative skier. She shared her testimony to encourage and strengthen the camper’s faith in Jesus Christ. The campers enjoyed learning new skills, but they said they enjoyed learning about how much Jesus loves them the most. The ski camp strengthened the relationship between FCA and Coach Kim, and we learned about her passion to share the Gospel with others.

FCA Korea and Onnuri Community Church planned and worked together to host the ski camp through a mutual partnership established last August. With a vision to better serve coaches and athletes in Korea, and to advance God’s Kingdom, our two organizations locked arms.

We are very grateful for this first step into the winter sports world and we are thrilled to be able to impact more Korean athletes and coaches who participate in winter sports. We are so excited to see where God is going to take us next so we can see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.
