With a passion to see God prosper in his community, Oduro has seen and experienced the unique impact of sports when it comes to sharing the Gospel, and he has recognized the great potential in sports ministry.

“To fulfill the vision of FCA and its vision statement, we need the talents, experiences and wisdom the Lord has given followers of Jesus from around the world,” said FCA President and CEO Shane Williamson. “I could not be more excited to celebrate our first African international Trustee Patrick Oduro. His intimate walk with the Lord, commitment to his family and vast ministry experiences will be invaluable to the board and FCA’s growth globally.”

Oduro is a founding member of the Akuapem Ridge Interdenominational Church (AIC), Peduase, off Aburi Road and currently is the CEO of Hephzibah Christian Centre in Peduase.

Oduro stated, “Through FCA, lives are transformed for Christ through sports. The discipline that sports provide in general helps build a total person. I have witnessed firsthand that evangelism through sports works. I love to see people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. I believe it is the only real hope for mankind here on earth.”

Vincent Asamoah, Divisional Vice President of FCA South Global, praised the appointment, stating, “I am very thankful to the LORD for the appointment of Patrick as FCA First African member of the Board of Trustees. It’s a great joy and honor not only for Patrick but also the entire FCA Africa team. Patrick is passionate for Christ, smart and humble, and with these qualities his inclusion will enrich deliberations of the Board of Trustees and give great blessings to FCA as a whole. I hope this will also inspire teammates from Africa to develop functional leadership boards so that when another opportunity comes there will be a pool of talents to draw from.”
