My FCA story: I had the privilege to work in minor league baseball for a couple of years and see the potential ministry opportunities to and through athletes and coaches. I then traveled to Africa and saw the opportunities that athletics open to share the gospel around the world. And after attending an FCA event at the 1997 Final Four in Indianapolis, I was contacted by a local Indiana staff member, Brad Long, and I was hooked!

Most challenging part of my job: The ministry has grown tremendously over the past several years in Indiana. The single big-gest challenge is to make sure we grow in a way that is healthy and sustainable.

Recent ministry highlight: At one of our Fields of Faith events in Indiana this year, our staff member was approached by a young lady who had become a believer the previous year at the same event. She just want-ed to thank him and let him know that over the past year she had grown significantly in her faith and that members of her family had become believers as well!

What I love about FCA: We get to equip coaches and athletes to make a difference in their world. We don’t have to manufacture relationships—they are already in place. We simply provide an opportunity for our volunteers to do what they already want to do.

3 Prayer Requests:
1. Wisdom and courage for coaches and student leaders as they proclaim the gospel on our middle school, high school and college campuses.
2. Safety for our staff as they travel throughout Indiana equipping our leaders to be effective in ministry.
3. Discernment for our board and staff as we determine how to best meet growing demands.

FCA Staff quote: “I have enjoyed watching Kraig grow in his role as the Indiana state director as he has displayed pa-tience, humility, wisdom, persistence and tenacity. Kraig and his wife Christy’s son, Karson, recently battled and defeated leukemia. When I visited their home and spent time with them it was clear that their faith in—and faithfulness to—God was a catalyst in Karson’s healing. Kraig is one of God’s chosen men whom He has called to change lives, and I have enjoyed watching God use him.” – Field VP Richard Isaiah
