softballntcover-qa7b8The lightweight, paperback FCA Softball New Testament features text from the Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) and uses the culture of softball to engage fans, athletes and coaches who may or may not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. It features personal testimonies and favorite Scriptures from well-known professional and collegiate softball players and coaches.

FCA Softball’s Dana Jenkins said the Softball New Testament is a unique resource because it speaks specifically to the softball community. Every testimony featured is a person who has been at the top of their game.

“The Softball New Testament speaks specifically to the sport they love. There is nothing else out there that uses God’s word along with testimonies from some of the game’s top players. It’s always great to have something that is all your own.”

The new resource is a discipleship tool for softball players of all ages, and, according to Jenkins, will present great opportunity for influence.

“I hope the impact we see from the New Testament is centered on people either strengthening their walk with Christ or surrendering to a relationship with Christ. We hope this resource will help ignite conversations around God’s pursuit of us.”

Each player testimony is featured on full-color glossy insert pages throughout the New Testament. It also includes More Than Winning Gospel presentation, journal reflection pages and the FCA Competitor’s Creed.

“We featured testimonies from top athletes and coaches because we feel God has given them the biggest platform to make the most impact,” said Jenkins. “Each testimony is different and really showcases how God pursues each of us in a very specific way. We hope their stories will have a powerful effect on those who read it!”
