Thousands of coaches and athletes are participating at an FCA Camp around the country and world this summer. Here are a few reflections from the hearts and minds of faces seen around camp.

Andrew

Name: Andrew (right, with camper)
Sport: Surf
Position: Huddle Leader
School: Orange Coast College
Camp Experience: 1 year

FCA: What do you think about camp so far?

Andrew: I’ve loved it. It’s super awesome. Amazing.

FCA: Why do you love it?

Andrew: We’re surfing all day at the beach, and I get to speak into my boys and pour into them. And I really like the Huddle times. Everyone opens up and gets honest.

FCA: What do you hope God does for you this week?

Andrew: I really want to have His presence. To grow in faith with the already believers. And to not be afraid.

Kevin

Name: Kevin
School: Hills High School
Sport: Football
Year: Senior
Camp Experience: 2 years

FCA: How has your faith stretched this week?

Kevin: I’m on fire for God again. It’s helpful being around the same people who love your sport.

FCA: What’s different this year?

Kevin: Football is more organized and feels bigger.

FCA: What has God been teaching you?

Kevin: Be more humble. Normally, I’m like, “I got this myself,” but now to rely on Him and others.

FCA: What are you looking forward to?

Kevin: Each night the program gets better. And I’m looking forward to the coaches vs. students game at the end of camp.

Kat Todd

Name: Kat (second from left, with campers)
Sport: Basketball
School: Jacksonville State University
Position: Coach
Camp Experience: 1 year

FCA: How did you get involved?

Kat: I have a Huddle at Jacksonville State University. My daughter plays volleyball and I was looking at camp for her and thought it would be neat to coach.

FCA: How have you been growing this week?

Kat: I’m getting ministered to at the coaches' Huddles in the morning. I thought I was going to be ministering to these girls as a coach, but I’m the one getting ministered to myself.

FCA: What does Undefeated mean to you?

Kat: In Christ we’re victorious in every situation in our life.
