FCA Magazine:  How does your faith keep you humble and grounded throughout the long NBA season?
Stephen Curry:  There's obviously tough stretches when it comes to the job that we're in every single day – a lot of pressure and expectations, things like that. For me, I stay grounded knowing that my faith is the most consistent part of my life and knowing where my talents come from. I know why I'm in the league, and why I've been given the platform that I've been given: to shine [Christ’s] light out there on the floor, hopefully inspire people.

FCA Magazine:  How do you feel you are using your platform to share your faith?
Stephen Curry:
That's a real focus of mine. I'm not a guy who’s going to be over the top trying to bash people over the head with the Bible. I want people to know that when they see me play that something is different, that I play for something different, and whether I’m talking about it [or not], I just hope that by the way I carry myself and by the way I play the game, that they can see there's something different about that guy. And they find out what it is and then they know. It’s part of who I am.

FCA Magazine:  What has God taught you throughout your career?
Stephen Curry:
No matter how successful I am on the court, I'm not bigger than the game. I'm not bigger than any other person out here. I'm not perfect, as much as people may think I am. I'm quick to admit that. He's blessed every single one of us with something we can use to impact the game. The most beautiful thing is finding out what that is and using it.

FCA Magazine:  How does that apply to life away from the court?
Stephen Curry:
I've always been a believer that the Lord has put whatever talent in you, [and] whatever gift He has put in you, He wants you to get the most out of that. He wants you to succeed; He wants you to pursue and work and be passionate about it. There's so much impact you can have in this short amount of time on this Earth. It's not about getting any of the glory for yourself, it's all for His [glory]. That's where you have to keep perspective. Work at it and do all you can so you get the most out of yourself but do it for His glory.
