Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has welcomed three new international leaders, as the ministry continues to grow and expand into more and more countries throughout the world.

The trio of new International Regional Vice Presidents in the Caribbean, Canada and Southeast Asia will help nearly 2,000 staff worldwide fulfill the FCA vision to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

“Over this past year, I have spent time with hundreds of FCA leaders who inspire me with their boldness, faithfulness and resolve,” said FCA Chief Field Officer Dan Britton. “As a result of our amazing staff worldwide, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is now serving 92 countries outside the U.S. with a team of 298 leaders. In 2007, we were working in five countries with five Camps and 760 campers. Today, God has grown this ministry to 300-plus Camps with over 27,000 campers. We hope more will join FCA in prayer to engage, equip and empower coaches and athletes to become disciples who make disciples in all nations.”

Dan Bishop has been named the Regional Vice President for the Caribbean. He joined the FCA staff in June 2007 and has served in various roles, including as the National Director of Training from 2013-2017. Prior to his employment with FCA, Bishop served for 27 years in various pastoral ministry roles. He has received two master’s degrees from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Bishop and his wife, Nancy, have three grown children and six grandchildren and live in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Hans Ostrem serves as the Regional Vice President for Canada. He was introduced to FCA as a student athlete at North Greenville University, where he competed in cross country and club soccer. Ostrem has served cross-culturally with the International Mission Board and most recently as the director of Upward Sports Canada. He earned two master’s degrees from Liberty Theological Seminary and Texas A&M University. Ostrem and his wife, Brandy, have four children and reside in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

William Chang is the Regional Vice President for Southeast Asia. Since 2015, Chang has been working in partnership with FCA as the national director of a community sports organization.
