Do you ever feel too busy? Do you ever feel like there is too many things to get done, too much to communicate, or expectations are too big—and there’s not enough time to do it all?

When we began planning for our 2024 ministry theme, we asked coaches and athletes what was on their hearts. Two things clearly stood out from their feedback: (1) Coaches and athletes want to shift their mindsets and prioritize Christ more in their lives, and (2) they’re finding it hard to achieve balance in their lives. More than ever, sports brings the constant pressure to train and perform, to be focused on the past (the last game, the last performance, etc.) or the future (the next game, “how will I improve?”, etc.). But many of our teammates told us, “I just want to be where my feet are.”

This year, we want to engage, equip and empower coaches and athletes to go from feeling overwhelmed to experiencing God’s overflow. Thanks to your partnership, we get the privilege of sharing this message of hope, peace and spiritual renewal with thousands of coaches and athletes every day.

This is what the apostle Paul described when he wrote, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). We’re so excited to be bringing this powerful message of hope, joy and peace in Christ to every staff person, coach, athlete and donor this year. We want to manage the healthy tension between the competitive mindset and the ability to rest and experience an overflowing hope through God’s Spirit. This message is as relevant to us as it is to the coaches and athletes we serve.

Our prayer is that God would Reset our perspective, Renew our purpose, Refuel our hearts and make us Ready to serve Him. We are praying that God’s Spirit will take us from overwhelmed to overflowing in Jesus.

Thankfully, we serve a 24/7 God. He never sleeps or takes a vacation. He is always working for His glory and our good. His eyes are on us, and His desire—when we seek Him—is to strengthen us. “For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep” Psalm 127:2 (NASB 1995).

Thanks to your partnership, we get the privilege of sharing this message of hope, peace and spiritual renewal with thousands of coaches and athletes every day. I trust that you’re encouraged by this. In a 24/7 world, your generosity is making an eternal impact!

As we pursue our mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church, it’s vitally important to know exactly where they’re at.
